What is TrainIQ?

TrainIQ is a weekly enrichment academy involving 1 hour of focused academic tuition followed by 1 hour of structured indoor sport.
Led by an experienced educator and national athlete, we help children to boost confidence, energy, and focus - in and out of the classroom.
Sessions run in groups of up to 12 children, and are for ages 8-11.

Why It's Trusted by Parents

Academic and Personal Growth
We know homework sometimes gets rushed, delayed, or the dog gets to it before your child does!
Gaps start to grow and confidence slips.
We provide focused academic time in small groups, ensuring children get dedicated support and finish their work knowing they've made real progress.
Movement with Purpose
There are two kinds of energy: mental and physical.
After school, mental energy dips, often leading to screen time or unproductive downtime.
On the other hand, physical energy is unspent during the school day, leading to restlessness.
Kids need to move, connect and reset. That is why we end each session with purposeful indoor sport that builds teamwork, resilience and overall fitness.
Led by Excellence and Experience
TrainIQ Academy is run by a DBS checked tutor and national level athlete with over 7 years of experience supporting learners throughout their primary years.
We have put all the essential policies in place, from safeguarding and data protection to behaviour policies and codes of conduct, to ensure a safe, transparent and trusted environment for every child.

What's Included
TrainIQ sessions run every Saturday from 8:30am to 10:30am at Shenley Brook End School.
Take a look at how we break down the 2 hours:

First Hour
Second Hour
✔ Homework Time, with Guidance
Students bring in their school homework and complete it during the session, supported by an experienced tutor who can explain, guide, and keep them on track.
✔ Personalised & Focused Tuition
If a child doesn’t have homework that day, or finishes early, they move straight into structured Maths and English tuition. We use targeted resources tailored to their level, so no time is wasted and every session is productive.
✔ Short Tasks to Sharpen Key Skills
We set small tasks to build confidence in core areas like arithmetic, problem-solving, grammar and reading comprehension - keeping minds engaged and progress steady.
✔ Indoor Sports Rotated Weekly
Children take part in a variety of exciting sports including Handball, Danish Longball, Football and more. All games are simple to follow and designed to be inclusive, active, and enjoyable for everyone.
✔ 30 minutes of Skill-Building Drills
We focus on building core skills like coordination, teamwork, and spatial awareness through structured activities that suit all abilities.
✔ 30 minutes of Active Game Time
Children put their skills into action in fun, full-paced games that boost fitness, confidence, and team spirit - all in a safe, supportive environment.
